I SPY PRINTABLE FOR A CAR TRIP

Travelling with kids is tricky.  Usually the trip is lots of fun, but it's also a lot of work.

First you have to pack all the things you need into a suitcase and then into the car.  Kids come with so much stuff!

And then there is the actual travel, hours in the back of the car, or on a plane and it doesn't take long before we hear  'How long?' or 'I'm bored'!

I SPY PRINTABLE FOR A LONG CAR TRIP

We have created a fun and simple I SPY list of vehicles and objects that we think you're likely to see on a car journey. Call it a scavenger hunt, a spotto list or i spy. It will keep the kids busy for a while.

We have included a few things you would see in the country and things you would likely see on a freeway so that there will be things to spot no matter where you are driving.

You can either tick off the ones you see like bingo!  Fill the page to win.

Or use the list to count how many, with a tick for each one you see and then see which vehicle or object is the winner.

GAMES ON A LONG CAR TRIP

For a looooong car trip you might need more than a game of I SPY to keep the kids entertained.  Here are some suggestions from the garage to help keep them busy:

  • All the fun without the mess, these Tiger Tribe Magic painting kits use water to reveal the picture.  For Ages 1+  and no mess!

  • Janod Magnetibooks are a great activity for the back seat. All the magnets are contained in the book and stick to the page, so less chance they will be all of the car.  For ages 3+

HINT:   We suggest that you have a busy bag that is filled with new items that come out during the trip.  If they love dinosaurs then put a new dinosaur in the bag.  Sometimes it can be something small, and quite simple that will grab their attention for a period of time.

See our suggestions for Travel toys that will help you ge through the long trips HERE

Another tip I have is having chopped up fruit and some carrots. My kids seem to always be hungry the minute they get in the car.

We hope you have a great trip.
